Sure it’s fun to see a $multi-billion Swiss-based boys’ club close ranks and/or sqabble over who did or didn’t get a piece of the action, but don’t do a happy dance just yet. You see, there’s corruption and there’s corruption.
Now that the US’s idea of war is becoming more like a first person shooter, we have obviously needed a movie or two depicting the new and intense challenges face by the military drone operator with orders to kill e.g. ‘Drone’, ‘Drones’, ‘Good Kill International’… but this one looks good too.
40 years later, the fall of Saigon has miraculously transformed from a failed and brutal war of American aggression into a tragic humanitarian rescue mission. One can only imagine what bizarro stuff the US state will be saying in a couple of decades about Iraq and Afghanistan.
